Follow along as I provide day-by-day updates during my ten-day case study.  I’m changing one simple daily habit, and letting readers learn first hand the impact it’s having on my life.

Day 7

Lucky Number seven.

I’ve made it through almost an entire work week and I’m happy to report that I’m still alive.  I actually think it might be easier keeping up with my morning routine than it is keeping up with my daily blog posts!

Daily Routine

  • Meditation – 15 minutes
  • Exercise –  7 Minute Work Out routine
  • Writing – 30 minutes

What Happens After Ten Days?

I know the question on everyone’s mind is: “What the heck happens after ten days, Brent?  Does this all stop and you go back to hibernating every morning?” While I have to admit that sounds like a pretty appealing idea, I know my success on this journey is measured in months/years and not days.  This is my new schedule.  For the next ten days, next ten weeks and next ten months. Don’t worry, I promise I won’t provide updates every day for the next three years :).

I started with ten days because it’s much easier to break things down into small, manageable tasks.  If I told myself tomorrow morning I was going to make a drastic change in my life which will last the next 30 years, you’d say, “good luck Brent – let us know how that works out.”  If I made that same statement but said it would last for the next ten days, well, there’s a much higher probability that I’d be successful.

So ten days is my first goal.  When I hit ten days, this will probably become a 30-day challenge.  When I make 30 days, this will become a 60-day challenge…and so on and so on. Life is all about taking challenging goals and breaking them down into small, achievable tasks.  I’m happy to report that I’m now 70% through this first task!

See you tomorrow!

Brent
